Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool are behind Manchester City

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Manchester City would be the best group on earth.
Liverpool are just five points clear of reigning champions City and are top of the Premier League table after an ideal start.
But Klopp considers City – that have averaged 99 points at the two Premier League seasons – are still superior to his Liverpool side.
“We might not be the best group in Europe since Manchester City would be the best group on the planet – and that’s exactly the identical world I have heard,” Klopp said ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League opener against Napoli.
“There are a great deal of good teams out there and also you need to prove that [you’re up there with the best] always.
“Last year, people were really excellent. I’m not sure we had been the best team in Europe, however, we were really good in the proper moments and that is the reason why we won the Champions League.”
Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-0 in last season’s Champions League final to win their sixth European title, but Klopp says that his group will not feel burdened by going into this year’s contest as winners.
“We do not feel the burden since I do not know just how that should really feel to be honest,” said the German.
“It is long past. Three or four months. The issue keeps coming up about if teams will play . I don’t have any clue.
“I never went to some Champions League year, winning the Champions League annually earlier, thus we will encounter that [collectively for the very first time]. I hope we are prepared for that.”
