Anthony Watson says England must play without fear of injury against Italy

Anthony Watson insists England will play without the fear of sustaining an injury on Friday in their World Cup warm-up Evaluation against Italy, live on Sky Sports Action.
Says their criteria shouldn’t drop at St James’ Park at their final Quilter International.
Eddie Jones’ side head out to Japan on Sunday aiming to land a World Cup because Jonny Wilkinson procured a triumph.
“You can’t be concerned about it and I’m not worried about it,” explained Watson on the possibility of picking up an injury against Italy.
“As soon as you start entering contact at 85 per cent and begin worrying about making sure you get on the plane on Sunday, you won’t play as well as possible and you’d probably get injured anyway.”
England bounced back after defeat to Wales at Cardiff having a persuasive 57-15 success over Ireland at Twickenham on August 25, meaning they have won two of the three summertime internationals.
Jones has confirmed he will hand a debut to winger Ruaridh McConnochie and Watson is convinced that his Bath team-mate, who has been chosen in the 31-man squad going into the Far East, can bring a fresh dimension into the national side.
“Having played with Ruaridh at club level I know a bit about him and what to anticipate,” Watson added.
“He has blown my mind into how he has encounter this set-up. He is always hungry for understanding and seeking to learn, so he has not been really fazed by anything.
“He’s taken it in his stride and torn it up very, which is testament to him because a bloke. He is deceptively strong in how he carries the ball.
“He never gives up and does not go down smoothly.”
