Jumps season kicks off at Chepstow with Persian War

The waiting is over for National Hunt fans since the for the season in Chepstow happens on Friday, using all the Unibet Persian War Novices Hurdle highlighting the first of two days.
Fergal OBrien runs Paint The Dream and Champagne Well in the Grade 2, and yet regardless of the former being much shorter price, the trainer believes theres small between them.
I wouldnt wish to divide them, to be fair, said OBrien.
Paint The Dream did nothing wrong this past year and ended up dropping on his last run. Hes there on his virtue, although hes just a novice and will go following this. If we didnt think he was good he would be in an ordinary novice.
Hes had a great summer in the home along with his owner, therefore I would not wish to divide them.
Champagne Well did very well this season and is very solid, but what I will say is Paint The Dream has had a wonderful summer and looks fantastic, so I am looking forward to seeing the pair of those.
Rebecca Curtis has a rating of 140 to boot up and runs Ruthless Article, that has enjoyed a summer.
I think hes got a ridiculous evaluation actually, they have a tendency to get overrated in the summertime, I do not think he is a 140 horse, she explained.
Hes hard to set as he would have three penalties from a usual novice and hed struggle off 140 in a handicap.
He will have a spin round and have a break before returning back out next summer. Hes got a crack at this.
The Philip Hobbs-trained Thyme Hill, who had been third at the Cheltenham Bumper, Paul Nicholls Trevelyns Corn and Alan Kings Harambe are among the runners.
Nicholls told Sky Sports Racing:It is an aggressive race on paper, but he had a breathing functioning in the summer and we have always needed this race as a target, since hes only a beginner until November 1.
Hes healthy and well and should run well
In the Dunraven Windows Novices Chase Curtis runs Lisnagar Oscar, after winning a Grade Two well known for the Albert Bartlett last year.
Three miles at Chepstow can take a while getting, especially first time out, but hed stay it nicely over hurdles, explained Curtis.
I believe hell encounter a great bit for the adventure, but he can operate as great as any of his competitors so Im hoping for a fantastic run.
Hes not the largest, but hes a smart little jumper. I am hoping he will make a chaser, but well find out on Friday.
OBriens De Title Evades Me is another and was ultra-consistent over battles.
He never defeated us a year ago and hasnt been outside of the initial four because we have had him, explained OBrien.
He had been second in Cheltenham (into Aux Ptits Soins) on gentle ground, which we didnt think hed enjoy, and is only a real solid horse. Im anticipating seeing him .
Hell appreciate the trip and hopefully its something to build on
The Professor Caroline Tisdall Supports Heroic Jumpers Veterans Handicap Chase sees some old favourites like The Young Master line and Regal Encore up.
Curtis runs Scottish National enthusiast Joe Farrell, that had been fancied for the Grand National itself season but discovered it coming too soon after trauma to 2018.
He appears in very good shape. He had an accident at this stage of the season, but hes alright now, said Curtis.
He ran a fantastic race at Newbury, but people staying chasers need time in their races and individuals were pushed for time getting him ready for the National that he likely didnt have sufficient time between his races.
Hopefully this year will work out much better because of him.
OBrien runs Perfect Candidate, that has the October and November meetings in his landscapes of Cheltenham.
It will be a nice starting point for him, he is starting off here in order to tee him up to visit Cheltenham in a few weeks, explained OBrien.
