Miami Heat: 50-1
Something seems different about the Miami Heat this year.
I have got itNorris Cole fade is more than it was last season, squared away.
Oh, also LeBron James isn’t on the team which delivers a decent-sized blow to Miami’s title hopes in 2014-15. The Heat are now shots that are relative after featuring as heavy favorites this time a year before.
Filling in for the King, Miami has Josh McRoberts, Danny Granger and specialists Luol Deng –three offseason additions president Pat Riley would have chosen as James’ sidekicks, not replacements.
Chris Bosh will be a part of the crime and he’ll do his best to reprise the part. And Dwyane Wade will step back into the spotlight, hoping his body holds up under the stress of responsibility.
On paper, it feels just like the Heat have enough talent to stay around as a playoff team. But if another 28 games nursing his knees are missed by Wade, these postseason dreams could vanish.
