Juventus’ Emre Can ‘shocked’ at Champions League omission

Juventus midfielder Emre Can says he is”stunned” in being left out of this club’s Champions League squad, and it has indicated he will look for a move away in the Italian winners in January.
May made 37 appearances for Juventus last season after joining on a free transfer from Liverpool, but also has found his first-team chances limited following Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot’s arrival this summer.
Can was a surprise omission from the club 22-man squad for the Champions League this season and also the German claims he’d have pushed away from the team to get a movement had he knew he would be left outside from Maurizio Sarri.
“I am not in the squad for the Champions League which really shocked me yesterday, because I was guaranteed otherwise last week,” Can told Sky at Germany.
“Consequently I wouldn’t have stayed at Juventus, since it was the primary requirement for me to be part of the Champions League squad.
“It’s a deep shock for me personally and I cannot understand it. This past year I played in the Champions League. There hasn’t been any explanation however.
“Juventus called me the telephone call was one minute and they only told me”You are not in the group.
“I have to play in the Champions League, I Need to play in the Champions League. When I’m back, I will talk to the club and then we will see what happens.”
