Ross Fisher lights up day two of the Open de Espana with two straight eagles

Two weeks after his historic albatross at Wentworth, another rare feat was attained by Ross Fisher because back-to-back eagles were left by him towards the end of his second round.
Fisher made a BMW sports car worth over #130,000 when he holed out with a four-iron for a sensational albatross-two on the final hole at the BMW PGA Championship, capping a back-nine 28 on the West Course prior to heading on to finish outside the top 30 following a disappointing 76 on the last moment.
The Englishman requires a strong finish to the season to keep his European Tour cardarriving in Madrid ranked 118th in the Race to Dubai, and he was flirting with the cut line when he made three straight bogeys to slip to one under with six holes to play with.
He was able to scramble a par that was good and Fisher drilled into a beautiful and rattled in the putt for an eagle-three, also greater was to follow in the next.
Fishers leash in the middle of the fairway pitched before the pin and then spun into the cup for another eagle, his fourth of the tournament, and he can now go into the weekend well placed on five under after rounds of 69 and 68.
I left a fantastic up-and-down on six that was crucial, and then I hit a lovely drive and a really pleasant soft four-iron in the next, said Fisher, who has not had a top-10 end since the Nedbank Golf Challenge in November this past year.
I did not realise how long it had been before I watched Mr (John E) Morgan put up his hands so that I knew it was good and also to roll that was really, really nice – my third among this week.
Subsequently to hit that shot on the next hole and then back it up with another eagle was nice. I had been flag hunting on the past there trying to go in a row! I know Ive had a great run of birdies in a row if Ive gone back to back eagles, but I would be amazed.
To have four week, and I came really close yesterday to my next albatross in three weeks, it literally finished three or four inches from moving in. 2 eagles yesterday about the par fives, they were kind to me, and also to make another one and then hole a shooter it was a great day.
